What’s New This Week

LAST LENTEN SOUP SUPPER - The Way of the Cross - April 10 – Dinner at 5:30 p.m. Study from 6:15-7:15 p.m.

We will start with a supper of three soups, salad, bread, and cookies at 5:30 p.m. If you can’t make it in time for dinner, you can still join us for the study which begins at 6:15 and will last about an hour each week. We look forward to seeing you for a lovely meal and meaningful conversation.

PALM SUNDAY - Sunday, April 13

Holy Eucharist including the procession of the Palms and the reading of the passion will occur at both our 8:00 and 10:00 a.m. services. Weather permitting, the 10:00 a.m. service will begin in Shain Park as we reenact Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem.

HOLY MONDAY, TUESDAY & WEDNESDAY - April 14, 15 & 16 in the Chapel

Celebration of Holy Eucharist at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel each night with lessons depicting some of the events of this sacred week, including the anointing of Jesus and the betrayal by Judas.

MAUNDY-THURSDAY SERVICE & AGAPE MEAL - Thursday, April 17 6:00 p.m. in Centennial Hall

Chicken Shawarma will be served with rice, vegetables, salad, pita, and garlic sauce. If you have any dietary concerts, please contact Fr. Josh. After the meal we will move to the church for the stripping of the altar. Sign up to attend here: https://stjames.rocks/maundythursday25

GOOD FRIDAY SERVICES - Friday, April 18

Noon – This service is highlighted by the reading of John’s passion, devotions at the cross, the solemn collects, and communion from the reserved sacrament.

3:00 p.m. – Gather in Centennial Hall and join us as we use the entire church to remember the last hours of Jesus life. As we stop on the way, we will first read, and then discuss together the meaning we find in each station that marks Jesus’ journey to the cross.

7:00 p.m. – The Bible in one Hour – this zoom service takes us from Genesis to Revelation in one hour. Join us to gain perspective of the saving acts of God throughout history and the deeper meaning of the events of Holy Week. Zoom link: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/83549693857

EASTER SUNDAY - Sunday, April 20 at 8:00 and 10:00 a.m.

Join us for a celebration of the Holy Eucharist with full choir and brass at both services.
